The Evolving Ebola Epidemic in West Africa: An Update from CDC

Dr. Kenyon’s CDC career, since his graduation from his residency in Pediatrics at UACOM, has largely been in the front lines of disease control in Africa. Having just returned to Atlanta from several trips to the Ebola-affected nations of West Africa, Dr. Kenyon will give us a firsthand update on the progress in combatting Ebola. His illustrated presentation will document the current epidemiology and projections for control of its spread, placing it in the broad perspective of Global Health.

As an AHSC volunteer faculty member, Dr. Kenyon has taught for several years in the annual summer course on “Global Health: Clinical & Community Care,” sponsored by the Office of Global & Border Health in the College of Medicine.
