Women faculty in medicine and science who have practiced in academic settings within these five categories for up to 7 years.

What is needed to apply?
Two (2) Letters of nomination are required and should be addressed to Dr. Hina Arif, Assistant Dean of WIMS. These letters need to come from:
- Department Chair, Dean, or Center Director stating a commitment to the applicant’s career and support, including protected time, for the applicant to participate in the entire fellowship.
- Senior faculty member or direct supervisor who can attest to the applicant’s commitment and leadership potential.
A personal statement (500 words maximum) to include a commitment to UACOMT/Banner and desired outcomes from participation in the SSWIMS fellowship.
A 1-page Leadership Experience Project (LEP) proposal, an idea that will be impactful to the institution, accompanied by a separate 10-month timeline document to serve as a milestone for the project. All documents must be uploaded and submitted before the due date to be considered. The WIMS committee will review your applications and selected fellows will be notified by early May
